Privacy Policy

Influous is pre-launch. This policy describes what we actually do today: run a website and process two application forms. If that changes at launch, this policy will be updated before it does.

1. Who we are

Influous runs influous.io, a managed influencer marketing service that connects cybersecurity and tech brands with vetted technical creators and runs the campaign end to end. We operate online only. For our registered business details, or anything else about this policy, email info@influous.io.

2. What we collect, and why

• Creator applications. Name, email, country/city, and links to your public channels. Used to review and vet your application.
• Company campaign requests. Name, work email, and what you tell us about your company and campaign. Used to assess and respond.
• Basic analytics. Low-detail usage data (pages visited, referrer, browser, approximate country) in aggregate. No advertising trackers.

We don’t buy data about you, and the forms don’t ask for anything we don’t use.

3. Lawful basis (GDPR / UK GDPR)

Consent, when you submit a form (withdrawable anytime), and legitimate interests, operating and securing the site, basic analytics, verifying application claims against the public sources you link, and preventing fraud.

4. How we use your data

To review and vet creator applications (including checking your public work at the links you provide), assess and respond to company requests, match creators with campaigns, contact you about your application or request, and run and secure the site. We won’t add you to unrelated marketing lists.

5. Sharing

Only where needed to operate Influous: with service providers (hosting, forms, email, analytics) under contract; for matching (relevant profile parts shared with a brand, campaign details with an accepted creator); where legally required; or in a business transfer under the same protections. We never sell personal data, and never share it for third-party advertising.

6. Retention

Rejected creator applications are deleted within 90 days. Accepted creators are kept while active with Influous and removed promptly on request. Company requests are kept while active and deleted on request. Analytics are held in aggregate only.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or port your data, and withdraw consent at any time. Email info@influous.io; we respond within one month. You may also complain to your data protection authority (the ICO in the UK, or your local EU authority).

8. International transfers

Our service providers may process data outside your country, including outside the EEA/UK. Where required, we rely on recognized safeguards such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Cookies

Essential cookies needed for the site to function, plus basic analytics. No advertising or cross-site tracking. Blocking non-essential cookies won’t break the forms.

10. Children

Influous is not directed at anyone under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you believe we have, email us and we’ll delete it.

11. Changes & contact
